T Shirts For Toddler

How do you know the size of their child after leaving toddler sizes?
My son has spent his entire 5T clothes, but I can not calculate the size to go to another. It seems that every store has a different system. I know this is not the case, but this seems way. I have shirts that are size 5 / 6 in children, but are too big! Help! Has autism, to lead the bank is tough. Maybe with another adult, may be able to do so.
I think it depends on the brand of clothing. My son had a 5T in the fall and spring / Summer has been a 6 in pants shorts and short sleeve shirts. Most of his clothes came from Carter. They were a little big at first, but now can easily adapt. We bought a fit "some play" Okie Dokie and Sears brand and a size 5 / 6. I think now are too small and the type of business. I can honestly say that buying a size 6, but make sure you have the adjustable waist pants and if you're looking for fall clothes, you can always roll up their sleeves.
